The email I sent last night. This is really happening.
Hello my dearest dears,
FRP and a few others who might be interested, I am sad to inform you that I will be leaving this incredible place and program. I am not, however, sad about why I’m leaving. I have accepted a position as the Editor in Chief of a start up magazine in the OC. I am simultaneously thrilled and terrified about this, which makes me believe that it’s the right decision.
I cannot even begin to express to you all how amazing my experience here has been. I am so proud to have been a part of such an amazing program and working alongside some of the most talented, smart, and dedicated people I have ever met. Certainly the families that I have worked with have made my time here seem worthwhile, but it is my co-workers who have made my time here so enjoyable and at certain times, bearable. I could not have made it with out you all and I hope that you realize that.
But before you (and I) get all weepy, you aren’t rid of me just yet. My last day will be May 2 and I assure you that I will be in full force until my very last day.
