SERIOUSLY?! His raise was more than my annual salary! By 10K. Sigh. This is exactly why I sometimes get sick of hearing how “honorable” my job is. Once in a while it would be nice to pay rent and buy groceries in the same month without having a heart attack.
Nothing against that guy though. I’m sure he’s very nice. And works very hard to earn every penny of his wages.
He’s male. He’s only one year older than me (and hence has a mere one year additional experience than me). He makes $70,000 more than me. What???? And he’s ANGRY because he just got a $35,000 raise and didn’t think it’s enough! Who in the advertising world actually gets a $35,000 raise anymore? $3500, maybe!
This is why I don’t want to know these things. Ignorance IS bliss. Sigh.
